Flokk Design was asked to create a logo that would reflect the identity of the municipality of Dyrøy and at the same time create a young and fresh identity for the youth council of Dyrøy. The Dyrøy youth council uses as its identity a young silver fox, inspired by the silver fox used in the shield of Dyrøy municipality.
The silver fox used to be bred in the municipality for its special colour that the area has become known for. The fox was therefore important to return to the logo. The young silver fox also holds up his paw, almost to indicate that he also has something to bring in to the conversation. The slogan on the back of the printed jerseys is therefore in dialect ‘Våres meining e viktig!’ Translated to ‘Our opinion matters’.
